These specialists perform different cross-interaction tests, or even real life tests (either on animals or volunteers) and record results, document the number of occurrences, validate data and give verdicts about the drug’s suitability and risk degree.

Organizational and IT Skills

Most drug safety associates work in regulatory organizations such as FDA or independent testing institutes and are required to keep accurate records of their findings in internal databases or contribute to large drug use data warehouses, the most important being MedDRA.
