Since financial institutions have a lot of different products, in order to assess their performance, they came up with the role of product controller, a professional responsible for independently measuring the profit and loss (P&L) for each type of product or line of products. Some of these people you meet in person on a regular basis, other are just a click away, but you still require the courtesy to create the relations and the verbal and written skills to keep it going.
